Snowfun and quality time for the whole family
Role in the snow, build a snowman, or why not even an igloo? Speed down a hill on a toboggan, cuddle with fluffy huskies, feed moose and glide through the winter landscape in a horse-drawn sleigh, wrapped up warm. Create memories together which will last a lifetime. In the evening, unwind in the sauna and marvel at the Northern Lights.
Itinerary of Family Winter Week
Day 1 - Welcome to Swedish Lapland
Arrive independently. We are happy to arrange a rental car or transfer for you from Luleå Airport or Boden Train Station. The cozy "Villa Winterdog" awaits you in the middle of a winter paradise.
Day 2 – Husky Tour
This tour is suitable for all ages, as we tailor it to your family's needs. You'll take a short dog sled ride, have time to cuddle the dogs, and enjoy a sweet snack and a hot drink. Younger children can sit in the sled with a parent, while older children have the chance to try their hand at the runners. Grandparents are also welcome. An unforgettable experience for the whole family! Duration: 1.5 - 2 hours.
Day 3 – Visit to the Elk & Reindeer
At the Cape Wild Wildlife Center just outside Luleå, you'll have the opportunity to meet elk and reindeer up close. The tame moose love apples, bananas, and carrots, which they are happy to be fed by friendly visitors. It's a wonderful experience to come face to face with the "king of the forest," and it often offers unique photo opportunities. Afterwards, you'll receive more information about the park's animals during a slideshow in the warm log cabin. Then we'll continue to the reindeer enclosure. Even these otherwise shy animals usually come very close here and allow themselves to be fed by hand.
Day 4 – Ice Fishing
With snowshoes or on foot, we'll find a good spot for ice fishing. This is one of the locals' favorite pastimes. We'll try our luck on a beautiful, frozen lake. The guide will explain how to drill a fishing hole in the ice and how the fishing rods work. We'll also enjoy a traditional Swedish fika. Duration: 2 - 3 hours
Day 5 - Horse-drawn Sleigh Ride
Experience an atmospheric horse-drawn sleigh ride in a traditional 19th-century sleigh! Cuddle up in the sleigh under a warm sheepskin and glide out into the snowy winter landscape. The gentle creaking of the sleigh and the sound of the horse's bells will give you the feeling of stepping back in time. Take a break in the forest and enjoy a light lunch and hot coffee by the campfire. Duration: approx. 2.5 hours (+ drive to Boden, 40 km)
Day 6 - Husky Snowshoe Hike
Experience a unique kind of dog walk! Snowshoes are a wonderful means of transportation in winter. You'll also be given a waist belt with a friendly husky attached. If you enjoy being active in nature, this is the perfect tour for you. Depending on their size, children can walk on their own with snowshoes or be pulled in the sleigh. Duration: 1-2 hours
Day 7 - Another day in the snow
You have another full day in this winter paradise.
Day 8 - Goodbye
Farewell to your new two- and four-legged friends. Goodbye!

Transfer to the horse farm and the mosse and reindeer farm. We recommend to book a renta for the whole week.
