What to expect dunring the Advent season in Lapland

Welcome to Swedish Lapland

Arrival on your own. We are happy to arrange a rental car or a transfer from Luleå Airport or Boden train station. Nestled in the stunning natural landscape of northern Sweden, the cozy "Villa Winterdog" awaits you.

Hike with Huskies (and Snowshoes)

Experience a dog walk like no other! You'll be given a waist belt connected by a leash to a cheerful Siberian Husky. With the strength of a dog, you'll head out into the countryside. Depending on snow conditions, we'll use snowshoes – a traditional way to get around in the Nordic winter. Along the way, we'll provide a small snack and hot drinks to keep you going. Duration: Approx. 2 hours.

Lapland Specialties and Northern Lights Photography Workshop

In the evening, enjoy a delicious two-course meal featuring Lapland specialties in the cozy atmosphere of our traditional Swedish hut (kåta). A crackling fire in the center of the room spreads a comforting warmth. You'll receive some information and tips on photographing the Northern Lights. Afterward, we'll hike or snowshoe through the forest to the river, where you'll have an unobstructed view of the sky. If luck is on your side and the Aurora Borealis appears, you can put what you've learned into practice.

Husky Tour

A highlight of any Lapland trip is an adventurous husky tour. Depending on snow conditions, we'll head out into the Arctic wilderness either by dog ​​sled or with a training cart. Afterward, we'll enjoy a hearty lunch by a warming fire. Duration: approx. 3 hours.

Christmas Spirit Guaranteed

In the afternoon, we invite you to a cozy Advent coffee with sweet treats and traditional Swedish glögg. If you haven't yet gotten into the Christmas spirit, you certainly will now.

Time to Relax & Enjoy

Enjoy cozy hours in your holiday home, in the sauna, and on walks in the beautiful countryside. Now, during Advent, the traditional window lamps, stars, fairy lights, and lanterns, combined with the stunning winter landscape, create a truly magical Christmas atmosphere. Let yourself be enchanted and take the feeling of inner peace and warmth home with you. Now you're well-rested and ready for the Christmas holidays.
